Dear Parents,
You are no doubt aware through the news of distressing accounts of
abuse posted on the Everyone’s Invited website. Sexual abuse, sexual
violence and sexual harassment in any form are abhorrent
A dedicated NSPCC helpline is now available to support anyone who has
experienced sexual abuse in educational settings or has concerns about
someone or the issues raised. The dedicated NSPCC helpline number is
0800 136 663
In teaching the new RSHE curriculum at St Peter’s please be assured
that we will ensure that children understand what positive, healthy and
respectful relationships look like, on and offline. In addition teach pupils
the knowledge they need to recognise and report abuse, this will of
course be undertaken sensitively and age appropriately.
Should you have any concerns about a child’s safety or well being
please contact the school office and ask to speak to myself,
Mr Bolstridge, Mrs Stewart or Mrs White, the school designated
safeguarding leads. Many thanks.
