I love playing with my friends in our outdoor area. It is really important that all members of Tigers are included in our games and invited to play. That’s what friendship looks like at St Peter’s.”

As part of our Christian Values Week, EYFS have been looking at ‘Friendship’. Friendship at St Peter’s embodies a pure and innocent bond, where children learn to trust, support, and care for one another. It’s a time when they discover the joy of companionship, sharing experiences, and navigating challenges together. In Christianity, friendship holds a deeper significance, reflecting the love and fellowship modeled by Jesus Christ. It emphasizes selflessness, forgiveness, and empathy, mirroring the commandment to “love your neighbor as yourself.” Thus, friendship in both contexts teaches invaluable lessons of compassion, kindness, and the importance of community, shaping character and fostering a sense of belonging
