Dear all,

For such a short half term, it feels like school life at St Peter’s has been particularly manic! I hope you all are looking forward to the Half Term and have some exciting things planned.

One of the areas that came out from our recent Parent Survey was about our relationship with our academy Embrace and what it means to be part of an academy. Essentially, at the heart of our school’s continued growth and success is the unwavering support we receive from Embrace. We benefit from a shared vision of educational excellence, collaboration, and innovation which is driven by Laura McWhinnie, who is the Director of Education and Felicity Clarke, who is the School Improvement Lead.

Alongside this, we also benefit from having tremendous support from Tom Chambers, who is the Estates Manager and has worked closely with me to transform the school site over the last 20 months. Similarly, Joe Baum, who is the Network Manager, has overseen the upgrade in Tech across the school which has included new interactive Whiteboards, iPads and staff laptops in all classrooms so that we can include Tech in our teaching. Last, but by no means least, Skye Friskney, who is the Marketing Executive, has recently redesigned our school logo. She has worked hard to incorporate different elements of our school ethos into a modern design and I am looking forward to sharing this with you all in Summer term.

These are just a sample of people who support our school from the Central team at Embrace. We are hoping to do a profile on a different member each newsletter, so keep your eyes open for that.

I hope you all have a restful and relaxing half term and look forward to seeing you all on Monday 2nd June!

Mr B
