Christmas at St Peter’s
Christmas is a lovely time in schools and while the children continue to learn and develop there are lots of Christmas events taking place. Mrs Bray sits in her office and loves hearing the different year groups singing. From the Nativity in EYFS and Key Stage 1, to the Carol Concert in Years 3 and 4 and the Christingle Service for Year 5. Then of course, we have the excitement of the panto, Christmas dinner and Christmas parties. We have included lots of photos of all our events and we hope you and the children enjoyed them as much as we did.
We are so proud of our wonderful school community. Thank you for your continued support from donating medicines, prizes, gifts for the hampers, Christmas presents and spare change after the performances for Menphys… we have raised a massive £240 in the last three weeks!! Also the ongoing support with reading, homework and ensuring that your children arrive at school on time each day, smartly dressed in their school uniforms. All of these things contribute to make St Peter’s the wonderful school that it is. Thank you all.
Also a special thank you to our parent/grandparent helpers who have been hearing readers for us this term: Frances Whittaker( Flo’s mum), Lesley Field (Albie’s Grandma), Lisa Spicer (Harrison and Alfie’s mum) and Egle Sterland (Ned’s mum). We really do appreciate you giving up your time to help us.
And finally, we’d like to thank our governors for their unwavering support of school from the kind rallying messages to staff, the late-night meetings and your monitoring visits. Again, we really do appreciate you giving up your own time for St Peter’s: Jo Bailey, Kerry Glover, John Ingham, Lucy Pennington, Richard Simmons, Carrie Smith, Collis Smith and Veronica Tinsley.
We hope that you all have a Happy Christmas and New Year and enjoy some down time with your loved ones. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in school on Monday 6th January.
