Dear all,
Coming into Autumn 2 when the weather gets colder and (if possible) even wetter, I wanted to take a moment to chat about the importance of regular attendance. Every day counts, not only for academic progress but also for the friendships, routines, and experiences that make school such a positive place for your child.
We know there are times when illness or family matters are unavoidable and we completely understand. However, being in school regularly makes a real difference to your child’s learning journey, giving them the best chance to thrive and achieve their full potential.
If you’re facing challenges with attendance, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Our attendance team this year Mrs Bray and Mrs Meadowcroft, alongside myself. We’re here to support you and your child to make things as smooth as possible. Please do have a read of the latest DfE guidance on attendance as the Government are taking a firmer approach moving forward. We, as a school, are bound by this.

Thank you for your ongoing partnership with us – together, we can help ensure every child enjoys a consistent, fulfilling school experience.
Warm regards
Mr B
